Biography
Born in 1929 in Yaizu, Japan, Scoichi
Hasegawa studied at The Kokuga Institue in Tokyo. His first solo
exhibition was in 1957 at the Kunugi Gallery, Tokyo, In 1961 he
moved to Paris to study etching techniques at ‘Atelier 17’
under S.W. Hayter. In 1968 he was awarded first prize of etching
at the International exhibtion of Como, Italy. His works are found
in several private collections in Europe, Japan and America.
